Qualifications to be an ambulance driver in Punta Gorda
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to drive in various traffic and weather conditions
- Shows effective customer relations and problem solving skills
- Develops a satisfactory working knowledge of procedures
- Has a knowledge base of the Southwest Florida area (Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota and Manatee counties)
- A driver with a class E license and good driving record
- Valid CPR certification
- Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen and a background check
Behavioral and Physical Skills:

- The ability to work during odd hours and long hours, sometimes outdoors, and in unpleasant weather
